  3. Hi mate, it looks like my router doesn’t have a reset button…. Can you help?

    • Hi Tim,

The reset button is usually hidden. Look for a tiny hole on the back side of your router, the button is hidden inside. You will see it for sure.

      Regards
      Danny

  4. Why is the reset button hidden? I can’t press it if I don’t use a pin or something.

    • Hi Richard,

I guess it is made like this in order to avoid accidental router resetting. It makes sense.

  5. I don’t want to reset the router and lose all the settings. Any other ideas how to login to the router?

    • Hi Jimbo, you can try the following:

      – check the user manual for the default username and password
      – check the label printed on the router for the default login details
      – Use Google to find the login details for your exact model

However, this won’t help you at all if someone has changed your default username and password. So, if you don’t find the default username and password with the recommendations from above, I’m afraid you will have to reset the router to factory settings.

      Regards
      Danny

  6. When I type http://192.168.1.1 in my browser it takes me to Bing, not the “router administration screen” like you sad. Am I doing something worng?

    • Hi RalphieBoy,

  7. Hi admin,
one question. If I reset the router, will the network name remain the same or I have to configure the router all over again.

    • Hello, that is a good question. Yes, when you reset the router you will have to configure it all over again. This type of reset is the last option you should consider and normally we use it when we go thorugh all the options to login to the router, but without success. When the resetting is over, you would be able to login with the default username and password.

      Regards
